The Huntington's Disease Project: Removing the Mask
How it all began...
In 2011, WeHaveAFace.org set out on a mission to created the first of its kinds documentary, facilitating a way in which our Huntington's peers could tell their stories about this horrific disease. It was through the support, love, and generosity of our community that this film was created. We are proud to announce that it will be completed in June 2015.
Tens of thousands of our peers across the globe all agree that Huntington's and Juvenile Huntington's disease is more than just a physical disease. This "monster" affects the individual mentally, emotionally, psychologicall, socially, and finacially. It affects entire families.
HD/JHD affects males, females, and knows no ethnic and racial boundaries. So many within the international community feels as if Huntington's disease is like experiencing Parkinson's, Alzheimer's, ALS, Bipolar disorder, and Schizophrenia all at the same time! Huntington's is not a one-size-fits-all disease.
This documentary is an educational awareness film, full of personal stories from our peers from many parts of the world. This documentary touches on sensitive subject matter, however the world must know the many aspects of Huntington's and Juvenile Huntington's disease.
